Progress Update

With this progress update, I fine tuned the spaces throughout my physical therapy center.
My building starts off with a semi-public first floor where the lobby is located and family can wait on patients that come in for treatments.
On the second floor, physical therapy treatments take place and the patents meet the receptionist before seeing their doctor.
The third floor is a cardio gym when patents can slowly work out without a doctor and get better.
Lastly, the fourth floor is where patents that are better, can work on strengthening there muscles to get back to normal.

This progress update was delayed due to problems defining function to the spacious floor area.
I tested different idea but never actually came up with one that works until now.
Now I feel that my function of the physical therapy center works alongside the steps a patent has to take on the road to recovery to get back to physical shape.

My next and final step is to define the functions of each floor in a more visual way, rather than using labels as place holders. This will include flooring material and equipment used for each space.
Along with including sections and perspectives that compliment the overall concept of the building.

11-25 update

I switched programs to Revit to get a better feel of the floor plans and circulation.

I am working in rhino to edit and update my dome façade and linking the massing to Revit.

The dome is temporarily represented as a solid panel curtain wall system because I plan on creating openings according to the function of the finished floor plan.

My next step is to complete the floor plans to help me use its function to guide the façades shape.

Concept Development

Impression of Site: Site # 2

This collage represents the change of the area and the extreme difference in settings when exploring the site's location (from new to old and good to bad).
Descriptive word: History

This collage represents things in history that is still known in current times even though it may have underwent modifications. The layout is from old historic icons to more recent historic or potential historic ones.
Program: Physical & Occupational therapy center
Lastly, This Collage represents the feeling of being hurt physically, where a natural bodily function is damaged, and the feeling of undergoing treatment to get back to normal.
